FLOW explores the relationship between transparency, light, material, and movement through a sculptural lighting object inspired by the visual behaviour of water.
Layers of clear acrylic create a shifting composition around a central structure, while engraved concentric patterns reference ripples moving across a water surface. Sanded acrylic introduces softness and diffusion, contrasting with the clarity of the transparent planes.
Warm light travels through the acrylic edges and engraved surfaces, revealing patterns that change depending on viewpoint and illumination. Polished copper introduces warmth and reflection, while the marble base provides visual weight and permanence.
Bringing together transparency and solidity, precision and tactility, FLOW investigates how light can become an active material . Transforming an object as much as its physical components do.
